My experience/qualifications include the following:
- past participant of AAG organized sessions on Distributed Geospatial Information Processing: Cyberinfrastructure at the 2007 Annual Meeting; - a reviewer of cyberinfrastructure journal articles for IJGIS;
- lead organizer of the workshop "Cyberinfrastructure and GIScience" to be held at GIScience 2008 in Park City, Utah;
- previously funded by NSF grants from the Office of Cyberinfrastructure and on related cyberinfrastructure projects in the Ocean Sciences Division and Office of International Science and Education;
- collaborator on a proposal recently submitted to the Office of Cyberinfrastructure,Data Interoperability Networks (DataNet) Program;
- delivered invited plenary address, "The New Explornography in the Age of Digital Earth, Digital Government, and Cyberinfrastructures", GIS Ireland 2004, IRLOGI (Irish Organisation for Geographic Information), Dublin, IRELAND, Oct. 13,2004; and
- experienced participant in AAG Specialty Group leadership as a past chair and vice-chair of the GIS Specialty Group, Board Member of the Coastal and Marine Geography Specialty Group, and as current chair of the AAG National Council charged with providing liaison between all AAG Specialty Groups and the AAG Council and Executive Committee.
