The 14th International Symposium on Spatial Data Handling-Theory, modeling and concepts in Geospatial Information Science
26-28th May, 2010, Hong Kong
30th September 2009 - Deadline for abstracts
Organized by: Commission II on Theory and Concepts of Spatial Information Science of International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), Commission on Geographic Information Science of International Geographical Union (IGU), and Commission on Modelling Geographical Systems of IGU
Hosted by: The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Baptist University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The University of Hong Kong, and Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Overview:
The International Symposium on Spatial Data Handling (SDH) is the premier biennial international research forum for Geospatial Information Science (GISc). It commenced in 1984, in Zurich, Switzerland and has been held in Seattle, USA; Sydney, Australia; Zurich, Switzerland; Charleston, USA; Edinburgh, UK; Delft, The Netherlands; Vancouver, Canada; Beijing, China; Ottawa, Canada; Leicester, UK; Vienna, Austria; and Montpellier, France. The 14th SDH will be a major event in the international community of GISc in 2010. It aims to bring together scholars and professionals from the international community of GISc to present latest achievements and to share experience in GISc research. The Symposium program will feature keynote speeches delivered by leading GISc scholars, technical sessions with reports of the latest research outcomes, student forum on meeting with GISc legends and commercial exhibitions showing the latest development of GISc technology.
Paper selection is based on abstract and full paper peer review. Accepted papers will be published in the symposium proceedings as part of the International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences. Selected papers will be published in a book of ISPRS book series.

Themes covered by the Symposium:
